How A lot Cash Does Louis Tomlinson Give His Sisters? They Reveal the Reality
When a pop star hits it big, fans often assume their family instantly benefits from the fame — luxury homes and endless financial support included. But according to Louis Tomlinson’s younger sisters, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Despite Louis’ reported $60 million net worth, Daisy and Phoebe Tomlinson are setting the record straight on exactly how much financial help they receive from their famous brother — and their answer might surprise even the most devoted One Direction fans.
Louis, who shot to global fame at just 19 years old as a member of One Direction alongside Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne, has built an impressive career since the group’s 2016 hiatus. Between his solo music releases, time as a judge on The X Factor UK, a documentary, a music festival and his own clothing line, Louis has remained firmly in the spotlight.
As the oldest of seven siblings, Louis has often been viewed as the family’s financial backbone. However, twins Daisy and Phoebe — now 21 and successful influencers in their own right — say that assumption is largely false.
The sisters recently addressed common “misconceptions” about their lives on their new podcast, “Tea With the Twins,” including the belief that Louis bankrolls their lifestyles. “We are so grateful for everything that comes our way, and we are definitely in a more fortunate position than some people our age, but that is down to a variety of reasons,” Daisy explained.
One listener assumption in particular claimed the twins were “mortgage-free thanks to Louis.” Daisy shut it down immediately. “False. Absolutely false,” she said, while Phoebe added, “Very false.”
“This is probably the most common assumption, not just the mortgage thing, but the money thing around our brother, and I’m very delighted to set this straight,” Daisy continued. “We get no financial benefit personally from our brother in terms of, like, day-to-day life, cars, houses, anything like that.”
That doesn’t mean Louis isn’t generous — just not in the way people expect. Daisy clarified that while he doesn’t fund their everyday expenses, he does show up for major moments. “He’s very generous in terms of gifts, and stuff at Christmas, and things like that. And if something big came up in our life, for example, our birthday, our 21st, he was really, really generous.”
Phoebe echoed the sentiment, adding that in serious situations, Louis would absolutely step in. “Even, like, emergency circumstances, he’d be so generous,” she said. Still, she emphasized their independence, noting, “Everything we own, we have bought for ourselves. Everything.”
