Post-Madura governance in Venezuela is still being worked out, the question is, who’s next?
Elections in Honduras, Bolivia, and Chile have gone the right direction and there are already like minded governments in Argentina, Paraguay, Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas.
Where else are there troubles in the Americas that directly affect the United States?
-In Panama, the Chinese are being addressed by President Mulino, but the Chinese are digging in their feet a bit.
-The Bahamas would like to see a more decisive American presence, but Chinese presence is pervasive in telecommunications and much of the archipelago is ungoverned space.
-Colombia has relatively strong pro-U.S. feelings in the population but currently has a leftist leader in President Petro who is a proxy of China. Petro won a questionable election after a number of years of pro-U.S. administrations. Popular Conservatives like Senator Uribe have been assassinated.
-The situation in Greenland is unclear. Denmark is upset, but since the 2009 Self Government Act, Greenland is an autonomous territory on its way to full independence. The 60,000 Greenlanders are split three ways on the future. China has established a strong telecommunications presence.
-The ability of the United States (and for that matter Canada) to assert influence in the Arctic is minimal at best and the Arctic has become a freeway for ghost shipping to feed China’s energy demands for sanctioned, below market price gas and oil from Russia and Iran.
-Haiti is still a money laundering and governance mess. The Globalists learned the art of NGO money laundering here in the 1990s and it is the Americas’ version of Gaza.
-Mexico is a largely ungoverned, Chinese led narco terrorism territory and the forward operating base for malign activities out of Venezuela. President Sheinbaum is the President of Mexico City at best. The rest of the country is an often violent combat zone beyond her control.
-Brazil has a leftist President who stole the 2022 election with USAID support and has President Bolsonaro imprisoned.
The Trump Doctrine is in full force and effect and the U.S. is recovering from decades of absence and neglect of its own front yard.
Countries work best when they have leaders who take care of their people and put the interests of their own country first. Being a suborn proxy for a non-Americas country does not take care of the citizens of that country.
The action in Venezuela likely sent a message to much of the Americas, especially to those leaders who do not care about functional governance that betters their own country.
Who’s next is the question.
