Miami, Florida – María Corina Machado, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize this year, is suffering from a vertebral fracture stemming from her dangerous escape from Venezuela and her difficult journey to Oslo, Norway, to receive the award. She will now go to Spain to see doctors to address medical issues she had left unresolved. After that, she will travel to Washington to meet with President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Finally, she may come to Miami to visit Venezuelans in exile and longtime Cuban friends. If she comes to Miami, we will give her a strong hug, as she deserves.

In a cultured and wonderful country that inspires admiration around the world—Australia—one of the most violent and hateful hate crimes in the world occurred this week. It took place at Sydney’s Bondi Beach, where a Jihadist attack against the Jewish community, which was celebrating the first night of Hanukkah, created a Dantean scene. Fifteen people were vilely murdered, and nearly 40 others are hospitalized with injuries. Australia’s Prime Minister called the attack a “diabolical antisemitic act.” A man who was near the scene disarmed one of the attackers, possibly saving many lives. Of the two attackers, one died at the scene and the other is detained and hospitalized.

The National Electoral Council of the Republic of Honduras had to spend several days reviewing the ballots for the Presidential election held recently. In the end, the wife of the man with the hat, leftist Xiomara Casado, who sought to carry out a coup d’état, was unable to do so. The winner turned out to be: (1) conservative candidate Nasry Asfura, supported by President Trump, who obtained 40.27%, ahead of (2) liberal Salvador Nasralla’s 39.55%, and in last place: (3) Xiomara Moncada, from the ruling progressive party, with a pathetic 19%.

Mike Lindell, the man behind MyPillow products, registered to run for governor of Minnesota. Lindell is a hardworking man and a loyal Republican. Although it will not be easy, he could reach that important position to the satisfaction of thousands of people.

During a bloody weekend, two young Brown University students were murdered by someone who was later identified as a Portuguese immigrant who entered on a diversity visa. Ella Cook, a beautiful and intelligent young woman who was vice president of the university’s College Rep-ublicans, and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov, who aspired to become a neurosurgeon, were the victims. Eight other students were also injured.

Many people ask why the “famous” Epstein files were not made public during the four years of the Obama-Biden 3.0 administration. Now the “shameless” Democrat Congressman Jamie Raskin appears and calmly declares that it was because they were “very busy.” What a brazen character!

The United States canceled family reunification programs for seven Latin American countries: Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, and Honduras. According to reports, everyone covered by this program must leave the United States before January 14.

Democrat Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett of Texas announced her candidacy for the U.S. Senate. Crockett is one of the most problematic and irresponsible members of Congress. I do not believe she has any chance of being elected.
On Forbes magazine’s list of the most powerful women in the world, only one American appears: Susie Wiles, White House Chief of Staff. She is thought to be the source of most of President Trump’s endorsements, in Florida especially, but also around the country.

Congratulations to Cuban-American Fernando Mendoza for winning the Heisman Trophy. A source of pride for Cubans everywhere, the alumni of Christopher Columbus High School, and all Miamians!

The results of Chile’s presidential election this month represented a rebirth of democracy on the South American continent. The Catholic, conservative and staunchly anti-communist leader José Antonio Kast was elected President of the country by an avalanche of votes. He left the communist Jeanette Jara in a state of shock. This week it became known that former President Michelle Bachelet had cast her vote for Jara.

Bob Reiner, the famous film director born in The Bronx, New York, became one of President Trump’s most bitter enemies and critics. Last Sunday, his daughter discovered his body alongside that of his wife at their Los Angeles residence. Several progressive publications claimed Trump was responsible, but authorities arrested the couple’s son, whom they are accusing as the perpetrator of the murder. Reiner directed several very popular films, including When Harry Met Sally.

“Where is the baby of the house?” said the mom. “Mom, please, I’m already 22 years old—aren’t I grown up?” replied her son. “Then go find a job, you shameless freeloader.” “It’s not that serious, Mom, I’m right here.”
