Did Taylor Swift Tease Album No. 13? Here is What She Mentioned Throughout Eras Doc

Taylor Swift may have wrapped the biggest tour of her career, but Swifties can rest easy — she’s nowhere near done making music.

In the sixth and final episode of The End of an Era, Taylor’s new behind-the-scenes docuseries chronicling the final stretch of her historic Eras Tour, the 34-year-old megastar leaves fans with a small but very pointed message: the music isn’t stopping anytime soon.

After highlighting major life updates that took place following the final show on December 8, 2024 — including buying back her first six albums and getting engaged to Travis Kelce — the series flashes to October 3, when Taylor released The Life of a Showgirl. According to the doc, the project became “the biggest album of her career,” but what happens next is what sent fans spiraling. A beat later, the words “to date” appear on screen, quietly hinting that her twelfth album won’t be the last. In true Taylor fashion, it’s a subtle breadcrumb — but one Swifties immediately picked up.

Of course, the star has already pushed back on rumors that Showgirl was her final studio album. In October, she told BBC Radio 2 that the assumption she’d step away from music to focus on her personal life was “shockingly offensive.”

“It’s not why people get married, so they can quit their job,” she said, adding of her fans: “Oh, I know they love to panic sometimes, but it’s like I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music.”

She also made it clear that her fiancé understands the passion that drives her.

“That’s the coolest thing about Travis, like he is so passionate about what he does, that me being passionate about what I do, it connects us. There’s no point in time where he’s gonna be like, ‘I’m really upset that you’re still making the music.’”

The docuseries itself serves as a victory lap for the record-breaking run that reshaped touring as we know it. The End of an Era captures the emotional final nights in Vancouver, as Taylor counts down to closing one chapter — but not her entire story. The Eras Tour stands as the highest-grossing tour in history, raking in $2.2 billion over 149 shows in 21 countries, while completely selling out stadium after stadium.

So, is Taylor Swift dropping new music in 2026?
She hasn’t said it — but she’s definitely said it.

If Showgirl was the biggest album of her career “to date,” Swifties may want to clear some space on their shelves (and playlists) soon.
