UPDATE: Trump’s draft plan offers Ukraine a 10-year, NATO-style security guarantee in which the U.S. and major European allies would treat any major future Russian attack on Ukraine as an attack on the entire “transatlantic community.” This would allow the U.S. and Europe to respond — including with military force — after immediate consultations. It’s the first time Trump has put a collective-defense pledge for Ukraine on the table, reports Axios.

In a stunning development, JP is reporting the Trump administration is pressuring Ukraine to make peace by threatening to cutoff intelligence and weapons to the Zelenskiy regime.

This comes after The White House has put together a 28 point plan that takes into account the realities on the ground. Many versions of the plan have been leaked but essentially the plan calls for Russia to remain in Donbass and to relinquish territory elsewhere.

The United States has threatened to cut intelligence sharing and weapons supplies for Ukraine to press it into agreeing to the framework of a U.S.-brokered peace deal, two people familiar with the matter said reported JP.

The sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that Kyiv was under greater pressure from Washington than during any previous peace discussions, and that the U.S. wanted Ukraine to sign a framework of the deal by next Thursday.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg reported Ukraine and European allies reject key parts of “U.S.-Russian peace plan” following Merz, Macron, and Starmer call.
