The girl has been identified as Celeste Rivas Hernandez. She was reported missing last year.

The Singer D4vd is now considered to be a suspect after the body of a teenage girl was found decomposing in the trunk of his Tesla. No arrests have been made and the investigation into the girl’s death is ongoing.

The LA County Medical Examiner has not determined the cause of death for the girl, who has been identified as Celeste Rivas Hernandez, according to ABC News. The teenager was reported missing last year.

Sources familiar with the investigation told reporters that the body had been dismembered, and that the disposal of the girl’s body as well as the dismembering involved more than one person. Authorities have also been in contact with people they believe to be connected to the case. Authorities also believe that a cause of death will be reached soon by the LA County Medical Examiner. The declaration from the examiner will be key in order to bring charges and make any arrests in the case, the outlet reported.

Hernandez’s body was found in the trunk of a Tesla, and the teen may have been dead for weeks before police discovered her body. Police responded to an impound lot on September 8 for a call about a “foul odor coming from a vehicle.” The car had been in the impound lot for two days after it was left abandoned on a street in Hollywood. The car was registered to David Anthony Burke, who is known as D4vd, police sources told the outlet.

Burke is allegedly not cooperating with the investigation, according to the report. After the body was discovered, police searched Burke’s home later that day. The singer, who grew his audience first on TikTok, has 4 million followers. When the discovery of the body was made, he was on his “Withered” international tour. Since then, the last few shows of his tour were canceled in San Francisco, LA, as well as some in Europe.
