'I Love Our Flag': Popular Singer Goes Public With Conservative Values, 'Good Relationship' With Kid Rock | JP

Just a few generations ago, American entertainers were practically expected to embrace at least some level of patriotism.

These days, however, far-left celebrities spend their time bashing traditional values or promoting their plans to move to a different country.

Not all stars are cut from the same anti-American cloth, though, as singer Chris Janson revealed in a recent Fox News interview:

Chris Janson is standing by his fellow country star Kid Rock and his support for President Donald Trump.

The “Stay Rowdy” singer told Fox News Digital that Kid Rock is one of his “oldest buddies,” as they both saw “eye to eye” on politics and music from the “get go.”

“I just love Kid Rock, personally. He’s just an old friend of mine,” Janson said. “Yes, he is a very vocal Trump supporter and I’m a conservative. I love this country. I love our flag. I love our troops, I love patriotism, I love everything that America is and stands for.”

He added that it’s a viewpoint that initially aligned him with Kid Rock.

“That was some of the basis of us being friends… when you see eye to eye with somebody right from the get-go on… majority of things, especially politically speaking or musically speaking… it just works. It’s a good relationship.”

Kid Rock’s political affiliation has been public knowledge for years, and he has remained outspoken in the months since President Donald Trump was elected to serve a second term:

During a recent appearance on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” the host pressed Kid Rock on what it would take to sever his support for Trump.

After a lengthy setup, Maher was able to find a hypothetical scenario that would test the bond — but the singer insisted that he doesn’t think it’s a serious possibility.

As Penn Live reported last month, Maher focused on Trump’s musings about serving a third term in office:

“If he was, would that be a break for you?” Maher asked. “Would anything make you break? If he said, I’m going to be against our constitution that we’ve had for many years, you cannot run for a third term. If he said, ‘No, I’m staying.” Would that break you?”

And, surprisingly, Kid Rock admitted that would bother him.

“Under current circumstances, if things are going the way they’ve been going along, yes,” he said. “If he says, ‘I’m running for a third term,’ I’d be like, ‘Whoa, whoa, pump the brakes man. Hold on a second.’”

But when Maher pressed him further, Rock circled back to his love for the president.

“So, he could lose Kid Rock?” Maher added.

“It’d be very tough,” Rock responded. “Be very, very tough. Very, very tough. I’ve told you before, which is probably going to be a shock to your audience, I don’t like Trump.

“I (expletive) love Trump.”

Kid Rock sat down for a wide-ranging interview with radio host Glenn Beck recently, during which he discussed his eclectic career, sometimes unorthodox views, and the history of his connection with Trump:
