American Airlines Plane CATCHES FIRE At Denver Airport — Passengers Evacuated | JP

It seems like every week we are reporting on stories about planes crashing, colliding, malfunctioning, or, like the story I’m about to report on, catching fire.

An American Airlines plane burst into flames after landing at Denver International Airport this evening.

No word yet on what caused the plane to catch fire, but luckily, there have been no reported serious injuries.

Passengers were evacuated using an air slide and could be seen on video standing on the wings of the smoking airplane.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, it was a Boeing 737-800.

Here’s the footage of the plane fire:

Fox News has more details:

An American Airlines flight caught fire at Denver International Airport on Thursday.

American flight 1006 departed Colorado Springs and was bound for Dallas Fort Worth International Airport when the plane was diverted to Denver, an airline spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

The aircraft was taxiing to the gate after landing and “experienced an engine-related issue.” The blaze started around 6 p.m. local time.

“The 172 customers and six crew members deplaned and are being relocated to the terminal,” the airline said. “We thank our crew members, DEN team and first responders for their quick and decisive action with the safety of everyone on board and on the ground as the priority.”

CBS News added:

An American Airlines plane carrying 178 people caught fire on the tarmac after making an emergency landing at Denver International Airport Thursday evening, forcing passengers to evacuate by climbing out onto the wing of the plane. There were no reports of serious injuries, but the airline said about three hours after the fire that twelve passengers were taken to a hospital for evaluation.

The fire started just before 6 p.m. Mountain Time after the plane, a Boeing 737-800, diverted to the airport due to what appeared to be an engine issue.

The Federal Aviation Administration told CBS News in a statement that American Airlines Flight 1006 had departed from Colorado Springs Airport and was bound for Dallas Fort Worth International Airport when the “crew reported engine vibrations.”

“After landing and while taxiing to the gate an engine caught fire and passengers evacuated the aircraft using the slides,” the FAA said.

In a separate statement, American Airlines said the plane experienced an “engine-related issue” after it had landed and taxied to the gate.

The airline said all of the 172 passengers and six crewmembers aboard deplaned and were “being relocated to the terminal.”

Make no mistake…

No matter how the left tries to frame this, it was leftist DEI policies that brought our country to this scary, dangerous place.

Liberals will try to tell you that, since all these plane events are happening since President Trump took office, he is to blame.

However, the issues have much deeper roots and were brewing since long before Trump’s inauguration.
