NEW: Adam Schiff Gets Mysterious Bump On His Head, Trump Shares Hilarious Theory

0

California Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) found himself in an unusual spotlight after appearing in a video Tuesday with a noticeable bump on his forehead. Schiff, known for his relentless criticism of President Donald Trump, attempted to address the latest wave of executive orders issued by the 47th president.

But before diving into policy matters, Schiff couldn’t help but mention what he called a “really dumb” accident that left him with the mark.

During the video, posted to his X account (formerly Twitter), Schiff appeared visibly distracted, admitting that he “banged his head” in a clumsy moment. The California senator’s confession was quick, but it didn’t take long for social media to erupt with speculation and humor.

On Friday, Schiff then revealed that President Trump extended an invitation to him and California’s other Democratic senator, Alex Padilla (D-CA), to visit areas in Los Angeles affected by severe wildfires. However, Schiff said he declined the offer due to the Senate’s ongoing votes on significant Trump nominees.

“Senator Padilla was invited,” said spokesperson Edgar Rodríguez on Friday morning. “The Senator regrets not being able to join President Trump in Los Angeles due to the Senate vote schedule. He welcomes the President’s support for federal disaster aid to assist the thousands of families and businesses impacted by these devastating fires.”

Enter President Trump. He was asked Friday about Schiff’s comments and, without missing a beat, offered his own humorous take on the situation.

“I was told that Schiff was going to travel with us to California. I wasn’t thrilled, to be honest with you. And I saw him last night on television. It looks like he got hit with a baseball bat or something,” Trump joked, drawing laughter from the audience.

Trump also remarked that the fire in California “could have been put out” if elected officials “let the water flow.”

Trump’s remarks, as expected, sent the internet into overdrive. The back-and-forth between Schiff and Trump is nothing new. Schiff, who has built his political brand on opposing Trump at every turn, seems to have a knack for finding himself in the former president’s crosshairs. From leading impeachment inquiries to frequently challenging Trump’s policies, Schiff remains a favorite target of Trump’s sharp-witted critiques.

Trump visited the Los Angeles area to assess the damage from recent devastating wildfires. During his visit, he hinted at conditioning aid to California based on political demands. On Friday, he toured disaster zones in both California and North Carolina, suggesting he might consider significant changes to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, indicating his thoughts on overhauling the key federal disaster response agency.

Schiff, who formerly chaired the House Intelligence Committee, was instrumental in leading the probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election and played a central role in Trump’s first impeachment trial in 2019. As a result, Schiff became one of Trump’s most vocal critics, while Trump, in turn, has consistently attacked Schiff, labeling him an “enemy from within” and suggesting that Schiff poses a greater threat to the U.S. than foreign adversaries.

Their ongoing rivalry has continued, with Schiff recently introducing legislation aimed at preventing a president from dismissing criminal prosecutions against themselves, widely seen as a move to counter Trump’s legal battles and potential political comeback. Despite his history of fierce opposition to Trump, Schiff has stated his intention to promote bipartisanship while remaining ready to challenge Trump when necessary.

For now, it seems Trump has once again managed to steer the conversation to his advantage—leaving Schiff, quite literally, with a headache.
