AOC: 'We Don't Have To Listen To Him', Calls For Non-Compliance With President Trump's Exec. Orders | JP

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is urging those unhappy with the executive orders enacted since the inauguration to simply ignore President Trump’s governing actions.

The New York democrat is arguing that people should simply not comply, framing her advice in terms that echo back to the Civil Rights movement.

“Civil Disobedience” is technically the refusal to comply with unjust or immoral laws, as opposed to disobeying legislation that is well within the bounds of the legitimate authority granted to one or more branches of the federal government.

Nevertheless, AOC is invoking the spirit of anti-racism and anti-hate political rhetoric in order to mask what she is actually doing — urging people to resist the legitimate authorities of the United States government; specifically that of President Trump and the Executive Branch.

Check out this clip taken from one of AOC’s recent livestreams:

While I will be the first one to argue that you do not simply have the “right” to resist illegitimate authority, but the OBLIGATION to do so, the designation of legitimate versus illegitimate authority is not nearly as subjective — a fickle decision of one’s unique conscience — as many AOC-style democrats seem to think.

But “thinking” is not necessarily what is running the show with AOC’s logic to begin with; rather it is her emotional response which afterwards attempts to add logic in an attempt to maintain some semblance of rationality.

For example, she just finished attempting to rationalize her intention to live in complete defiance regarding President Trump’s governing actions, in a conversation with Jon Stewart.

The duo lament the “normalizing” of President Trump by democrats, according to a report by Fox News:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and liberal comedian Jon Stewart lamented the “normalizing” of President Donald Trump by Democrats and Big Tech during the latest podcast episode of “The Weekly Show with Jon Stewart,” released on Thursday.

Stewart marveled at how Democrats’ preserved “decorum” during Trump’s inauguration on Monday, calling it a “surreal scene” to behold four years after the Capitol riot.

“In some ways, [Trump] clowns them. It doesn’t look like holding to protocol, it looks like submission,” he observed.

Stewart said the party’s intense opposition to Trump during the campaign now seemed “performative.”

“When you’re creating apocalyptic messaging about a fascist —” Stewart began.

“Literally!” Ocasio-Cortez chimed in.

“Literally, who is coming over and doing these things, and then when he wins, sitting down with watercress sandwiches and cream cheese, and doing the whole nine yards, it makes you wonder, did you believe any of the s— you were saying before?” Stewart continued. “Or was that something that was just a part of your messaging?”

The progressive congresswoman agreed with Stewart’s assessment, claiming Trump was “so much more dangerous” this time around because “he is much more normalized” than he was during his first term.

“The first time, people were really on edge, they were on guard, they were very vigilant about any break that he would have with these norms. This time, the norms are becoming him. The norms are embracing him,” she continued.

The disparity that seems to confuse both AOC and Jon Stewart between the actions of many in the democratic leadership versus the rhetoric of those same people leader up to the election is telling.

Many run-of-the-mill democrat voters ultimately saw through the narrative that had been used to deceive them once the election had concluded — leaving many with an awareness of their mistaken perceptions about the nation’s view of Trump, and the man himself in many cases.

Even many leader democrats ultimately came to terms in a similar process, with others simply recognizing that the extreme narratives they knowingly pushed had failed.

But some, like AOC, are not making up narratives.  Some within democratic circles are true believers in the “apocalyptic messaging” they are continuing to push about President Trump.

Yet, even when she is confronted (purely on accident, I am sure) with the legitimacy of current law dealing with illegal aliens, she does not have an answer; only an emotion.

Check out this clip from another of AOC’s recent Twitch livestreams, explaining her view of President Trump’s particular flavor of fascism.  If you follow her reasoning, you can see her in real time attempting to bridge the gap from her emotional need to demonize President Trump, yet justify it in somewhat reasonable terms:

When you recognize that her need to push for an emotional response to President Trump is what is driving her intense efforts to justify those emotions with the language of logic and reason, her every move becomes crystal clear — and that of the radical Left, as well.

Check out this clip from another of her livestreams just a few days before the inauguration.

You are hearing a democratic socialist (I don’t think I need to explain that designation) attempting to sound the alarm on President Trump.

According to her argument, President Trump is in favor of so much freedom of speech on social media platforms he is endangering freedom itself; and the supposed answer is apparently more control.

The logic doesn’t play out, except where emotion is sufficient to blur the lines.  But that is the actual argument she is making.

It is lunacy.  It is absolutely illogical.  It is stupid, it is so backwards.  But she isn’t lying or being deceitful; she truly believes it because her cognitive dissonance NEEDS it to be true… or else everything she has based her reality on is wrong to the core.

But unfortunately, this could have real-world consequences.

Her reasoning ultimately manifests in the form of a U.S. Congresswoman openly calling for people (presumably Americans, and illegals in this country) to resist the legitimate authority of the President.

Just read the basic story from News Beyond Detroit:

Far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is urging civil disobedience against Donald Trump’s slew of executive orders.

Since taking office on Monday, Trump has signed a slew of executive orders targeting everything from immigration and the border all the way through to ending DEI and dismantling the deep state.

In one of her regular live stream videos in which she lays out the roadmap to a socialist America, the New York Congresswoman urged people to simply ignore or disobey executive orders signed by the president.

It isn’t hard to imagine what actions that sort of call by a sitting Senator could turn in to within the realm of emotionally charged issues like immigration and border security.

The fact is, these things shouldn’t be “emotional” at all, in terms of executing the reasonable and common sense duties of the federal government.

And as one X user replied to one of AOC’s posts on X, aiding and abetting an illegal alien is a crime punishable in a variety of ways — including years behind bars.

Our borders matter, because our security matters.

The Deep State and the democrats who run it want to carry out all manner of unconstitutional actions against the American people in the name of “security”.

But one of the few responsibilities that actually grant authority to the federal government to act in the name of security is border integrity — and they want to fight tooth and nail demonizing anyone who dares take up that authority and wield it legitimately.

Unfortunately for them, President Trump is doing just that.

Fortunately for America… I don’t think AOC or the democrats can summon enough “civil disobedience” to stop him from doing it — no matter how many livestreams AOC puts out.
