Trump's Presidency Could Bankrupt Already Failing Legacy 'News' Outlets
If you’ve read any of President-elect Donald Trump‘s books, you’ll know that he doesn’t take attacks lightly, whether in business, politics, or attempts to smear him and his family.
The jackals at legacy media are no exception, who have been ferociously biting away at Trump for years.
To quote Christopher Walken from the 2002 film Poolhall Junkies:
“They got this lion. He’s the king of the jungle. Huge mane out to here. He’s laying down under a tree in the middle of Africa. He’s so big, he’s so hot, he doesn’t want to move. Now, the little lion comes, they start messing with him. Biting his tail, biting his ears, he doesn’t do anything. The lioness, she starts messing with him, coming over, making trouble. Still nothing.”
“Now, the other animals, they notice this, and they start to move in. The jackals. Hyenas. Barking at him, laughing at him. They nip his toes and eat the food that’s in his domain. They do this, and they get closer and closer and bolder and bolder, until one day, that lion gets up and tears the shit out of everybody. Runs like the wind and eats everything in his path. Cause every once in a while, the lion has to show that jackals who he is. It’s too late to be scared. It’s time to kill.”
Americans elected Trump for a reason.
As Michael once aptly put it, “Trump is the human Molotov cocktail that they’ve been waiting for. The human hand grenade that they can legally throw into the system that stole their lives from them.”
Trump doesn’t just have the Washington elites quaking in their boots; those at the corporate media also know what’s coming.
The first sign of attack came after Trump’s lawyer, Edward Andrew Paltzik, sent a letter to the far-left New York Times and Penguin Random House demanding $10 billion in damages for “false and defamatory statements.”
The letter highlights two stories by Buettner and Craig related to their new book, “Lucky Loser: How Donald Trump Squandered His Father’s Fortune and Created the Illusion of Success.”
It also mentions an article by Baker titled “For Trump, a Lifetime of Scandals Heads Toward a Moment of Judgment,” as well as an October 22 article by Schmidt titled “As Election Nears, Kelly Warns Trump Would Rule Like a Dictator.”
The letter accuses the outlet of having “every intention of defaming and disparaging the world-renowned Trump brand that consumers have long associated with excellence, luxury, and success in entertainment, hospitality, and real estate, among many other industries, as well as falsely and maliciously defaming and disparaging him as a candidate for the highest office in the United States.”
The Trump campaign then filed a six-page complaint with the Federal Election Commission, alleging the Washington Post made illegal in-kind contributions to Harris’s campaign over promoted stories
On November 5, lawyers for Trump’s campaign co-chief Chris LaCivita sent a letter to the Daily Beast alleging they lied about LaCivita raising $22m to help Trump win re-election.
The Daily Beast responded by adding an editor’s note to each article, which reads: “Based on a further review of FEC records, the correct total is $19.2m. The Beast regrets the error.”
The lame response didn’t stop team Trump, however. The president sent a follow-up legal letter stating that the correction “does not remedy the overall messaging of the story—which depicts Mr. LaCivita as deceptively pocketing campaign money for his own personal gain and that he was and is on the verge of being ‘fired’ because of it.”
“This entire narrative is completely false and a result of malicious and irresponsible reporting by the Daily Beast,” the letter continued.
The news came following reports Trump sued CBS News for $10 billion for editing its “60 Minutes” interview with Kamala Harris to make her sound coherent.
The letter noted “60 Minutes” deceptive actions caused “immense harm” to Trump and his campaign.
“President Trump brings this action to redress the immense harm caused to him, to his campaign, and to tens of millions of citizens in Texas and across America by CBS’s deceptive broadcasting conduct,” the lawsuit stated.
We are already seeing the cracks emerging within the mainstream media, and Trump has yet to be inaugurated.
CNN has already begun axing star personalities in the face of rapidly falling ratings as millions of Americans opt to get their news from X or indeptendent news outlets.
We may be witnessing the death blossom of the fake news media.
