Top Kamala Surrogate Issues Blanket Attack On GOP Women

Vice President Kamala Harris, while still digging out from the rubble caused by President Joe Biden calling Trump supporters “garbage,” is about to be rocked by even more tone deaf comments from billionaire businessman Mark Cuban.

Cuban, a self-described centrist capitalist, has been vocal in his support for Harris and committed sizable sums to see her elected over former President Donald Trump. However, all that spending might have just been undone after he appeared on ABC’s “The View” and took shots at the women holding positions in the Republican’s campaign. “You never see him around strong, intelligent women,” Cuban said in the shocking clip. “Ever. It’s just that simple.” In less than an hour, the remark had gotten more than 200,000 views on X after it was shared by the Trump campaign. “DISGUSTING: Top Kamala surrogate Mark Cuban says no ‘strong, intelligent women’ support President Trump. They’re now openly attacking the millions of strong, intelligent women fighting alongside President Trump every day to Make America Great Again,” the Trump War Room account wrote.

With the power of incumbency also comes the responsibility of having to answer the charge twice. Following Biden’s Freudian slip, both Harris and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre were forced to publicly disavow the statement and play cleanup. KJP reacted to a question Wednesday, replying, “So just to clarify, he was not calling Trump supporters garbage.” A snippet of the exchange shows Biden saying exactly that.

Later that day, a downtrodden Harris distanced herself, telling reporters she “strongly” disagrees with any statement ridiculing Americans for their political beliefs. “Listen, I think, first of all, he clarified his comments, but let me be clear: I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for. You heard my speech last night and continuously throughout my career. I believe that the work that I do is about representing all the people whether they support me or not,” Harris said on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews.

Cuban, an entrepreneur and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, hasn’t shied away from being an attack dog for Harris this election cycle. In September he got into a heated discussion on CNBC after “Squawk Box” host Rebecca Quick challenged him on Vice President Kamala Harris’ controversial proposal to tax unrealized investment gains. The debate left Cuban visibly flustered, leading to a moment where he repeated the word “no” sixteen times in a row. Earlier that month, he commissioned an informal poll on X asking followers whether they would like to young children grow up emulating the “persona and character” of Harris or Trump; MAGA fans swarmed the poll in Trump’s favor.

Cuban — who once suggested he would be open to serving as Trump’s running mate in 2016 — has since emerged as a fierce critic of the former president. Earlier this year, Cuban proudly declared that he would vote for President Biden over Trump even if he was “being given his last rites.” “If they were having his last wake, and it was him versus Trump, and he was being given last rites, I would still vote for Joe Biden,” Cuban told Bloomberg in a March interview.

Whether the billionaire’s latest impolitic zinger hits the cultural zeitgeist and provokes a reaction from Harris remains to be seen. Also unknown is if Susie Wiles, Trump’s senior advisor, will personally respond to the allegation that she is not a “strong, intelligent” woman despite being on the cusp of putting Trump back in the White House.
