Trump Arrives at Rally in Garbage Truck to Condemn Biden: “Americans are Not Garbage”

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Wednesday drove up to a campaign rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, wearing a workman’s orange safety vest and driving a garbage truck.

The gesture comes after President Joe Biden said earlier in the week that Trump supporters are “garbage” for backing a candidate who engages in “unconscionable” rhetoric.

“How do you like my garbage truck?“ Trump said to reporters after he pulled up to the rally in Green Bay. “This truck is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.”

After taking to the podium, Trump began his remarks by proclaiming “250 million Americans are not garbage.“

At an earlier rally in North Carolina, Trump confronted Biden over the “garbage” remark, tying it to Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ candidacy.

“Speaking on a call for her campaign last night, Joe Biden finally said what he and Kamala really think of our supporters,” Trump said. “He called them garbage.”

“And they mean it,” Trump added, “even though without question my supporters are far higher quality than crooked Joe or lyin’ Kamala.”

“My response to Joe and Kamala is very simple,“ he continued:

You can’t lead America if you don’t love Americans. And you can’t be president if you hate the American people. And there’s a lot of hatred there. Kamala Harris is not fit to be president of the United States.

Later in the speech, Trump asserted that “Joe Biden’s comments were a direct result of Kamala’s and Tim Walz’s … decision to portray everyone who isn’t voting for them as evil or subhuman.“

“And we know it’s what they believe,” Trump argued, “because… they’ve treated you like garbage, frankly. You know what? The truth is they’ve treated our whole country like garbage.”
