PA McDonald’s Forced To Hire Security After Flood Of Threats Following Trump’s Visit
A Bucks County, Pennsylvania McDonald’s location has been subjected to a flood of violent threats and negative Yelp reviews after former President Donald Trump cooked fries and manned the drive-thru in a wildly popular campaign event last weekend.
Since former President Trump’s visit, the franchise location has been on the receiving end of several violent threats and a number of in-store incidents. According to a report from the New York Post, a group of “unruly guests” caused a disturbance inside the restaurant around 3 p.m. this past Tuesday. As a result, Bucks County police officers could be seen posted up outside the location.
Thankfully the incident was resolved peacefully, though the restaurant has received a number of credible threats over the last week.

According to a report from the Daily Caller, the franchise has now been forced to hire armed security personnel. “We walked in. It seemed fine. We ordered and we sat down, but then we looked to our left, and there were several armed guards just sitting there,” Jessica Mihos, a lifelong Bucks County resident, told the outlet.“One of [the guards] stepped outside, and I saw him walking around our car. I thought he was checking if we have our insurance or something…Then [my husband and I] are like, ‘these guys are security;’ ‘these guys are really watching and seeing what’s going on.’ It was then I made the connection [to Trump].”
Jim Worthington the leader of Pennsylvania’s delegation at the Republican National Convention and one of the key organizers of the former president’s McDonald’s visit, confirmed that the location has received a number of threatening voicemails and social media messages. As a precaution to protect employees, franchise owner Derek Giacomantonio has opted to retain the private security force he hired in the lead-up to the event, the Daily Caller reported.
Despite the threats, Worthington stated that the community has been largely supportive of the visit. “The community is really embracing it, and a lot of people have come in here since Sunday just to patronize the restaurant,” adding that, “a lot of people anticipated [a boycott] would happen, because that is typical for some Democratic supporters to do, but [the business] hasn’t been hurt,” he told the Daily Caller.
Trump’s visit to McDonald’s has largely been seen as a massive success by political strategists, as clips detailing the visit racked up hundreds of millions of views across social media. According to a recent poll from Talker Research, 39 percent of Gen Z respondents indicated that Trump’s McDonald’s shift made them like him somewhat or much more.
