Love Is Blind’s Tyler and Ashley Married Despite Sperm Donor Scandal
Against all odds, Love Is Blind couple Tyler Francis and Ashley Adionser said “I do” at the altar during the season 7 finale which premiered on Wednesday, October 23.
“Ashley, from the moment I heard your voice, I knew there was something special about you,” Tyler, 35, began as he read his vows. “You showed me what love truly is… I commit to building a future filled with laughter, understanding and joy. As we embark on this journey together, I pledge my heart, my loyalty and my deepest love to you.”
For her part, Ashley, 32, said, “I’ve never felt a love this pure yet fierce.”
“I feel like we can do anything in life as long as we have each other,” she continued. “You’re my soulmate… I promise to love and respect you as my best friend, my future and my partner in life.”
The newlyweds broached the topic of children in their future during a confessional immediately after their wedding ceremony.
“I’m looking forward to daily simple things with you,” Ashley said. “Just little things that makes her happy, weekly, monthly…” Tyler added.
“Then that builds up and then before we know it,” he continued, before Ashley finished his sentence, “Kids.”
As Netflix viewers already know, Tyler is the father of three children whom he previously claimed to have fathered through sperm donation. However, after the reality star was seen opening up to his then-fiancée about his “donor” history just two weeks before their wedding day, the mother of Tyler’s children, Bri Thomas, refuted his claims.
“I’m trying really hard to do this the right way, but I have no understanding why he would characterize his relationship with his children as he has,” Bri wrote via Instagram on October 10, with Jelly Roll’s song “Liar” playing in the background. “‘Sperm babies’ they are not.”
Shutting down Tyler’s later claim that the children do not know what he looks like, Bri shared photos and videos of her 7-year-old son and twin 5-year-old daughters spending time and holidays with Tyler.
According to Bri, her son was conceived via sperm donation while she was married to her ex-wife. However, following her divorce and before her son was 1 year old, she and Tyler conceived the twins as a result of “natural unplanned intercourse with absolutely no complexity surrounding parentage.”
“I fully admit I have not always been the most comfortable with that truth due to the fact that I’ve lived the majority of my life as a lesbian,” she said in an emotional video shared on October 19 . “Nonetheless, it is exactly that, the truth.”
While Tyler previously claimed he “owe anyone in this world an explanation,” he responded to a follower’s comment on Instagram saying, “Just be patient, I’ll explain it all very soon.”
Ashley also had words to say after a TikTok user commented, “Girl with all this stuff coming out about him, WITH PROOF! I hope you don’t disappoint me cause this man is FOUL!”
“Regardless of the choice I made, I’ll do whatever is best for me the way I assume you live your life,” she clapped back. “Food for thought, before I go, beware of social media and the alleged unauthenticated ‘proof’ you speak of. I pray that you’ll attempt to lead with kindness moving forward.”
The Love Is Blind season 7 reunion premieres October 30 on Netflix.
