Deroy Murdock: If Black Voter Surge for Trump Sticks on Election Day, Democrats Are in BIG Trouble
Conservative commentator Deroy Murdock warned that the Democrats are facing total annihilation on election day if the black voter support for former president Donald Trump continues.
Trump could be garnering as much as 15 to 20 percent of the black vote as of writing.
Murdock suggested that if that number sticks until election day, the Democrats will have a serious problem.
Citing a recent New York Times/Siena poll, Murdock noted how Trump is polling over 20% with black voters — outstripping his numbers from both 2020 and 2016.
“It’s a big problem. Black voters constitute such a big part of the Democratic base, you take that out, the whole thing sort of falls over,” Murdock said.
“And this is the result of a very simple question that President Trump has asked black voters since 2016: ‘What the hell do you have to lose?’”
“They’ve responded to that question thinking, well, we keep voting Democrat and things don’t seem to get better,” Murdock continued.
Murdock notes Trump’s gains of the black voter over the last eight years:
8% of the black vote in 2016
12% in 2020
Nearing 24% in 2024
“If that sticks at Election Day, the Democrats are going to be in very big trouble.”
He’s right. The Democrats are losing the black vote, and they can no longer play the race card because, frankly, it doesn’t work anymore.

Trump does not need to win the black vote or even close to that much; he just needs to take away a percentage from the Democrats.
Even CNN acknowledged a seismic shift in Black voters’ support for Trump, with Data Reporter Harry Enten admitting he is the strongest Republican among Black voters since 1960.
It’s no wondr former president Obama is literally begging Black Americans to vote for Kamala Harris in what seemed an acknowledgment of their waning support.
“We have not yet seen the same kinds of energy and turnout in all corners of our neighborhoods and communities as we saw when I was running,” Obama said earlier this month.
