The air fryer deals that students can't miss

Air fryers can be pricey. But if you’re starting student life, an air fryer is a very useful thing to take along with you. We’ve found some of the best deals available from reputable brands on small and mid-size air fryers that are just the right size for students.

Ninja Foodi Mini 6-in-1

Usually priced at £179.99, this is currently widely available for £99.99 – saving you a whopping £80. Ninja air fryers are consistently among the best we test, so much so that we have a dedicated round-up of the best Ninja air fryers and cookers.

You can also buy it at the reduced price from Argos and Appliances Direct. This model is sadly not available in the US.

The Mini 6-in-1 has a 4.7-litre cooking pot, which makes it ideal for 1-2 people. You can pressure cook, air fry, slow cook, steam, bake/roast and sear/sauté, which means you can do almost any type of cooking in it, from cooking frozen food, to steaming veg, to making stews, soups and chilli.

It’s rare to see an air fryer that can also slow cook and pressure cook, so this is a great buy.

Cosori 2-litre air fryer

This 2-litre air fryer is down to £49.98, from £69.99, saving you £20.01 on an already well-priced cooker.

It’s available for $59.99 from Amazon US, but it’s not on sale.

This is a compact air fryer with four cooking functions. It’s smaller than the Ninja we suggested above and it’s not as versatile, but you’ll be able to use it to defrost, reheat and cook dry foods like chicken, fish and vegetables.

We’ve tested several Cosori air fryers and, although the brand isn’t as well-known as Ninja, they’re robust and well-priced.

Cosori TurboBlaze

If you’d like something a bit larger than the 2-litre model above, Cosori’s eloquently named TurboBlaze is a solid option at 6L.

It’s down to £99, from £159.99, saving you £60.

If you’re in the US, the Cosori TurboBlaze is on sale from Amazon for $89.99, down from $119.99.

We gave it a 5-star review, and especially liked its versatility. It’s equally good at cooking proper meals from scratch and quickly cooking frozen food. It has a selection of cooking modes, four of which are Turbo – fast fan speeds for quick results – for air frying, cooking from frozen, grilling and roasting. The other modes are for slower fanned heat: preheat, reheat, dry, bake, proof and warm.

It has touchscreen controls and a digital display, and it’s attractive and easy to use.

5-litre Chefree

Chefree is another brand name you may not know but it is one you can trust. We’ve tested its two-drawer air fryer, which has the same feature set as its Ninja counterparts, is easy to use and solidly built.

Chefree’s 5-litre model is usually priced at a reasonable £59.99 and is currently on sale for £47.99. It’s not available in the US.

One of the things we like best about this model is its viewing window, which will save you opening the drawer to see how your food is coming along.

We also like the digital control panel and its six cooking functions: roast, grill, bake, toast, fry, dehydrate.
